Behold: A Perilous Journey
Acts 27:1
Festus sends Paul and other prisoners in the care of Julius, a centurion, to Rome. Julius makes connections by ship for Rome. Paul told him that he should not start on the latter stage of the journey to get to a port that was favorable for wintering. He told him there would be loss of cargo and ship but Julius did not listen. How many of us are guilty of refusing to listen to others or to God if we set our mind on something we want to do? Julius did not listen and all Paul said came to pass. Are we ready to bear the burden of disobedience? It always comes at a great cost. Let us purpose to hear God and do what He says without question. I want to see you in Sunday School at 10:00 on this first Sunday of the New Year. Let us start out right by putting God first.
