Be On Guard !

My nurse and I were walking along my driveway and talking. As we passed by the tomato plants she stopped and said look. It was a caterpillar. Immediately, I knocked it to the ground and smashed it. We continued to look through the rest of the plants. We found about 6 altogether and killed them all. That reminded me of the scripture in Joel 1:4 and 2:12-18 and 23-25 about the locust plague.  These scriptures are speaking about the different ways the plant is destroyed by each stage of the Locust's life. Each stage attacks a different area of the plant, just like the devil attacks us. The second chapter of Joel  tells how God expects us to handle adversity. "Therefore also now, saith the Lord.  turn ye even to me with all your heart, and with fasting, and with weeping, and with mourning: And rend your heart, and not your garments, and turn unto the Lord your God: for he is gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness, and repenteth him of the evil."  It is time that the people of God repent and draw nigh unto him.  It starts with individuals, then churches, cities, states, and our nation. It is time we stop serving God for the loaves and fishes. We do need to serve the Lord because we love him. So many chase after riches. We need to depend on the Lord for our needs. God is so much more than a paycheck. He gives us so much more than we could ever give. My heart's desire is to see God's people on fire in the Holy Ghost, in an old-fashioned, sin killing, devil chasing, Holy Ghost revival where souls run to the altar and miracles are commonplace. Jesus is the same, the problem is us. What are you going to do about it?  Each person is responsible, first for themselves, then those around them.
