He Lifted Me
I was once astray in the downward way, And the light I could not see; But the Savior came and removed my shame, With His love He lifted me.
O He lifted me from sin's agony, Saved me by His wondrous love; I shall never roam, I am going home, To those mansions fair above.
Sin had strained my soul, but today I'm whole, And I'm free from doubt and fear; Tho' the storms may sweep Christ my soul will keep, I am safe when He is near.
O He lifted me from sin's agony, Saved me by His wondrous love; I shall never roam, I am going home, To those mansions fair above.
Brother now astray seek the Lord today, From His love no longer roam; He will keep you true till this life is thru, And you reach the heav'nly home.
O He lifted me from sin's agony, Saved me by His wondrous love; I shall never roam, I am going home, To those mansions fair above.
