Right Knowledge

Class Teacher ~ Bonnie Rogers Adults Class for Sunday May 26, 2019

Romans 10:1

It is important to have correct information as we study God's word. Jesus is the end of the law for righteousness and He ushers in the age of grace after His resurrection. In this age of grace, Jesus' righteousness is imputed to everyone who believes that He is the Son of God and that He died for our sins. He was resurrected and sits on the right hand of God the Father. It is important to rightly divide the scriptures. Do  you study to show yourself approved? I hope to see you Sunday at 10:00 A.M..

Wrestling With Fear

Class Teacher ~ Stephanie Booth Juniors Class for Sunday May 26, 2019

 I Sam. 21:10-12 – David fled from Saul and was even afraid that other people (such as Achish) would turn him in.
 I Sam. 22:1; 23:14-15 – Because of his fear, he hid from Saul
in a cave, as well as in the mountains and in a forest.
Psalm 34 is David’s response to the situation in which he found himself. Notice how David was able to come to grips with his fear:
 Ps. 34:4 – He sought the Lord, openly telling Him of his fears.  Ps. 34:8 – He had confidence and peace in God’s goodness.  Ps. 34:17, 19 – He knew God was aware and in control.

Thank God that I enjoy the freedom of being an American.  Our laws were put into place to protect freedom and rights granted by our Constitution and the Bill Of Rights.  Last week, in the House Of Representatives, a bill was passed giving federal protection to homosexuals, LGBT, and Gender Identity persons as a protected minority.  As Christians, we need to pray that our Senators vote against this bill because, in reality, it would take away the lawful ability of the Christian to speak against this sin, and to refuse to participate in enabling this sin.  If the Christian stands for God's Word, our freedom to worship and attend church will be lost.  We are soldiers in the Army Of The Lord and we need to stand/kneel and fight this ungodly encroachment against our freedom to worship.  2 Timothy 2:3 tells us we need to endure hardness as a good soldier of Jesus Christ.  God's people do not need to be silent and allow our freedom to be taken away.  Since we who are saved are a new creature in Christ and old things have passed away, we need to protect what God has so graciously given, our freedom to worship Him in Spirit and in Truth.  We need to contact our Senators and tell them to vote no for this bill.
