At an early age David developed a heart for GOD as his spiritual shepherd. SEE PSALM: 23 David's GOD-LOVING heart was the reason he was chosen to be Israel's second king. Although Samuel anointed him as King, David was sensitive to GOD and to Saul.He refused to take the throne by force. He left his position as King in GOD'S hands.In that time he learned a lot about GOD and about being a Godly King.
