Darla Self Crockett, wife of John Crockett and daughter of the late Thomas (T.E.) & Nadine Busby Self, is in need of much prayer. Kalyn, Darla’s daughter, called this morning and said Darla has a massive cancer in the cervix, and in the throat and lungs. One kidney is 100% shut off and the other one is 90% shut off. They put a stint in the kidney this afternoon. They don’t know if it works yet or not. They are talking about starting treatments of chemo or not at this time. She will be in USMD HOSPITAL ON MATLOCK AND I-20 in ARLINGTON, Tx. for a couple more days. Chemo will be started next week if the kidney works with the stint. This is all we know for now. Don't mention it to Darla. This is the family’s wish .
