If we treat our mates like a race horse; not like an old nag, we would have a lot more peace in our homes. The original said wives, but I believe that should go both ways.  Grandma said what was sauce for the goose, is sauce for the gander.  Good advice!  Ephesians 3:19 And to know the Love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, might be filled with all the fullness of God.   20.  Now to Him is able to do exceedingly, abundantly, above all that we ask or think, according to the power in us,.  We as Christians have so much more that we acknowledge.  It is in us when we get saved.  That is not to say everyone who gets saved is capable of using this power, Jesus has instilled this in us. We must learn how to let this power flow through our lives.  Philippians 4:13  I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me. Also true, but we need to know how to let it work.  It's like having bullets & the wrong gun, the bullets are of little use.  You obey God's means of operation, by spending time with God, quiet time, in prayer, & worship, & studying  His word. (not just read it)!! Timothy 2:15 Study to show thyself approved of God.  A workman that need not be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.  Separate God's truth from man's uneducated thoughts, which are not educated by the Holy Spirit.  Paul said to know Him & the power of His resurrection. Philippians 3:10. God has given us all we need.  Ephesians 4:7 But unto every one of us is given grace according to the measure of the gift of Christ.  This grace is the power & the means is through our obedience. We need to live our lives as  ambassadors of Christ. We are not yet perfected but when we fail, we ask God's forgiveness & whoever we might of offended, directly or indirectly.  If we show the love of Jesus we will be a great witness of His love. Jesus said, " If I be lifted up, I will draw all men unto me," That is our Goal.  Keep the faith  & strive to be like Jesus. Love Genna
