Fellowship Hall

I went this morning for my MRI. I've had several before but this one was different. I guess because they were focusing on my abdomen, they wrapped a lot of stuff around my abdomen and I had to place my hands over my head. He slid me into the MRI tube and I didn't have any room at all. I couldn't move, I couldn't put my arms down and my face was almost at the top. There was no air blowing in my face like I remembered before, so I panicked and told him to get me out of there. I couldn't stand it. I felt like I was being buried alive. So, he is calling my Dr. to set me up with an open MRI which he says gives more room. I will probably have to take a sedative even with that because of the things they have to wrap around my abdomen that takes up so much room in there. It was terrible. Please pray I will be able to do this. I know I can do all things through Christ Jesus and His help and He has helped me when I've had one in the past; I prayed all the way through it. Your prayers probably kept me from having a heart attack today; if he hadn't got me out when he did, only God knows what would have happened. It was that bad! Helen

ANSWER TO HELEN; We will certainly be praying for you. I'm the same as you are in tight places. But there are open MRI's that you can sit up straight in. You can't move what at all. I pray your Dr. finds one for you, like my doctor did. Try to close your eyes when you start to go into the machine. Don't under any conditions open your eyes till they take you out and say that it is over. It does help! Bonnie & GLO Church.
