Last week, we studied about Jesus cleansing the temple at the beginning of His ministry. This week, we see the Jewish leaders questioning Jesus about His authority to do what He did. They wanted a sign to prove His authority. The Jews were always seeking a sign while the Greeks were always seeking some new thing to talk about. During Passover, on the feast day, Jesus performed many miracles and many people believed in His name. Yet Jesus did not commit Himself to them because He knew what was in man. "Keep thy heart with all diligence for out of it are the issues of life." (Proverbs 4:23) We need to examine ourselves on a regular basis to keep sin at bay. I hope to see you in Sunday School.
