Jesus, while talking with a ruler of the Jews, Nicodemus, questioned his lack of understanding in the scriptures with which Nicodemus was well acquainted. Nicodemus was a spiritual leader in Israel as shown by his membership in the Sanhedrin. He lacked spiritual understanding and Jesus identified the source of his lack of understanding. We need to always stay tuned to the presence of the Holy Spirit and be aware of His leading and counsel, One of the works of the Holy Spirit in our life is to bring to mind all the LORD has spoken to us and shown us through the Bible. He brings understanding when He sheds light on particular scriptures. He leads us to Jesus and the things of Jesus always. He never points us in any direction other than to Jesus. Let us pray and tune in to what the Spirit is saying. Let us go where He is leading. Teach us obedience O LORD that we might walk in your power and might and bring honor and glory to God the father and Jesus, our LORD. I hope to see you in Sunday School this next Sunday.
