You hear Christian people ask a prospective subject, "have you been born again?"  Well, they usually say yes.  They really don't understand the concept of salvation, being born again.  Jesus said in John 3:3 to Nicodemus, Ye must be born again.  Nicodemus asked, "how can a man when he is old enter into his mother's womb and be born again?"  This we know is not going to happen.  It is our spirit that is born again, comes to life.  When Adam and Eve sinned, by eating the forbidden fruit, spiritual death occurred.  900 and some years later Adam died in the flesh.  There had to be a ransom paid for sins.  The devil really pulled a good one on Eve, she was deceived; Adam was told by God not to eat of the forbidden fruit, even before Eve existed.  Jesus came to earth as a newborn baby, lived, (sinless) for 33 1/2 years.  He paid the price of redemption, that we might be redeemed.  ( Hebrews 9:22-And  almost all thing are purged by the law with blood; and without shedding of blood there is no remission)  We are saved (born again ), by the precious blood Jesus shed on Calvary.  Acts 4:12 Neither is there salvation in any other.  for there is no other name under heaven given among men, whereby men must be saved.  The only way to go to heaven is through Jesus.  Now that this is clear I'll come to the meat of my article.  It is easy to get saved.  It is preached and taught often.  But what then?  It is important to get in a good Bible believing church which preaches the truth.  But how do you know what is truth?  2 Timothy 2:15  Study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.  John 5:39 ( Acts 17:11) Search the scriptures, for in them ye think ye have eternal life.  To be able to know if someone is telling you the truth.  you have to know the truth.  Jesus said in John 14:6- I am the way, the truth and the life: no man cometh to the Father but by me...  Jesus made the way and is the way.  Asking him to forgive your sins, come into your heart and be your Lord.  Of course is the start; but if we learn of him, try to imitate him.  Christ in us the hope of glory.  We really do need to study the Bible.  Ask the Holy Spirit to teach you the truths of the scriptures.  He, the Holy Spirit is given to us to help and guide us.  Jesus sent us the Holy Spirit to be with us and in us, when he ascended into heaven to sit at the right hand of the Father, God, to make intercession for us children, those born again, Mark 14:62, 16:19.  Don't just read the Bible, study it.  How can we know the truth unless we learn it 1st?  The scriptures tell us to be not deceived, nor deceive our own selves.  Study with an open heart to seek for the truth.  Genna
