Fellowship Hall

Hannah was a godly woman married to a godly man, Elkanah. She was heartbroken because she had no child. Elkanah had another wife who bore him sons and daughters. She was cruel to Hannah in both words and attitude. On their yearly trip to Shiloh for sacrifice and worship, Hannah was feeling desperate for a child. In her longing, she worshipped and prayed to God for a son to lend back to Him for all his days. Even the High Priest, Eli, thought Hannah was drunk and criticized her because when she prayed, her lips moved but no sound came out. When was the last time you really sought God in desperation and great longing from the heart? He desires that we seek Him with all our heart. No obstacle in our life is so great God cannot move it.
