Where would we be without Mothers? We wouldn't. On the other hand, sometime after birth many loose their mother. I've got a friend who lost her mother last month; she was in her 90's. My daughters' mother-in-law lost her mother at the age of 100+. You just never know. If your mother is still alive, be good to her. Appreciate the person who brought you into this world, next to God, Mom. My mother was a godly woman. Mind you, she wasn't perfect, but she served God all the time I knew her. Believe me, I sure had an example of a true Christian woman. I've seen so many who name the name of Christ, who were anything but godly. I'm like the song " Through it all." I've been a lot of places, I've seen a lot of faces, sometimes I didn't know right from wrong. But through it all, God has been faithful. In my lifetime I've seen a lot of things, good and bad. I am so thankful for the mothers, and others who prayed for me. A true prayer warrior is way on the top of the list. When all the others are weak from battle, the prayer warriors uphold them and they are ready to battle again. Just a second, when I say battle, I MEAN BATTLE THE DEVIL, not people.  I know that you can read in Proverbs 31, about the virtuous woman, but I want  to give you advice from  the Apostle Paul to Timothy in 2 Timothy 3:14- But continue thou, in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned them; 15- And from a child hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation, through faith which is in Christ Jesus. 2 Timothy 1:5- When I call to remembrance the unfeigned faith that is in thee, which first dwelt in thy grandmother Lois, and thy mother Eunice; and I am persuaded that is in thee also. These scriptures are telling us about godly women, who taught their children the word and faith. and were examples of what they taught them. Their walking and their talking were the same. We as God's children need to search the scriptures to see if we are walking according to the faith. We need to keep our lives in check by seeking God for truth, in prayer and in knowing the truth of the word.\ We are not to be deceived. We need to know what thus saith the Lord. Make sure that what someone is telling you is biblically true., not to be deceived, nor for us to deceive our own self. That is what King James tried to do when he had the King James version of the bible translated. He wanted to prove his sins weren't sins. It didn't work. It proved that he had to repent from his sins. That is why we have the word and understand it. I had a pastor who always said, " if you don't understand, put it on the shelf and seek God for the answer. "  God will lead you to the truth. Happy Mother's day. Genna
