I was watching a preacher on TV & taking notes when the Holy Spirit began speaking to my heart. about faith, a completely different subject. Actually, He began with the subject of feelings. Feelings sometimes hinder faith. We can't operate our lives on feelings. Sometimes we don't feel like we are able to blow our stuffed nose by faith. We are human. But the Lord wants us to rise above feelings & walk by faith. Our feelings will let us down  & we miss the blessings because our feelings are not able to be in touch with faith all the time.1 John 4:18- There is no fear in love: but perfect love casteth out fear: He that feareth hath not been made perfect in love, 19- We love him because he first loved us...You may ask what has love & fear got to do with faith? A lot.1st. Faith works by love Galatians 5:6. Read the whole chapter.. 2nd. Fear is negative faith. Faith in itself is positive. That puts them to be opposite of each other. Emotions are unstable etc, & are influenced by our surroundings. 2 Peter 3:18 says to grow in the grace & the knowledge of our Lord & Saviour Jesus Christ..The process is growing in the Word of God. 2 Timothy 2:15  Study, & Matthew 11:29 it says to learn of me, Jesus said this. There was a song in the rock & roll days that said " To know, know, know him Is to love, love, love him;" How true this is when we get to know Jesus personally.  Knowledge is knowing. When we get to know Jesus as our personal Saviour & we grow, through the written word & spending time with Him, in prayer & worship, we grow to love Him more. This is how we grow from faith to faith.  Romans 1:17 For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith, as it is written, The just shall live by faith. The way we grow is to study, learn of God, love Him, know Him, spend time with Him, and grow in faith to faith.
