Jesus delays going to Bethany in Judea when he is summoned to come because Lazarus is sick. He knows that God will be glorified when Lazarus is raised from the dead. The disciples are fearful for Jesus and themselves because He will be going back to Judea where the Jewish leaders want to kill him and the disciples will be with Him. Martha told Jesus that if He had been there, Lazarus would not be dead. Martha knew the healing power of Jesus. Jesus proclaims Himself to be the resurrection and the life. Jesus further said that if anyone believes in Him, they will never die. Martha proclaimed to Him that she believed He was the Christ, the Son of God, who had come into the world. What about you?
