Fellowship Hall

Jesus is preparing the disciples for a life to be lived without His physical presence. He reassures them of His identity and declares to them that He is in the Father and the Father is in Him. He tells them that His Father has done all the works through Him and they need to believe what He is saying if, for nothing else, the very works sake that they have seen.  These works proclaim the presence of the Father in Him.  Jesus also reassures them that He is not deserting them and leaving them alone like they are orphans.  His Father will send them a comforter, the Spirit of Truth.  He told them the Spirit of Truth was dwelling with them now, but would be in them later.  He said He would not leave them without comfort, and also said to them that if they loved Him, they would keep His commandments. The expectations of Jesus has not changed.  Do you love Him today?  Do you keep His commandments?  Do you love others when they are unlovable?  Do you keep yourself unspotted from the world? Is your body presented to Him daily as the living sacrifice He has called you to be?  Are you His and His alone or do you try to retain the throne in your life for yourself?  I hope to see you in Sunday School at 10am.
