This topic is what God put on my heart, not once, but four times. Mark 14:18  As they sat and did eat, Jesus said, "verily I say unto you," one of you which eateth with me shall betray me..Jesus knew the scriptures that prophesied that he would be betrayed with one of his disciples  Psalms 41:9 Yea, my own familiar friend, in whom I trusted, which did eat of my bread, hath lifted up his heels against me. Mark 14: 42 Rise up, let us go; lo, he that betrayeth me is at hand. 43  and immediately, while he yet spake , cometh Judas, one of the twelve, and with him a great multitude with swords and staves,  from the chief priests, the scribes, and the elders. 44 and he that had betrayed him had given them a token; Whomsoever I shall kiss, the same is he; take him and lead him away safely.. 45 and  as he soon as  was come he,  he goeth straightway to him, and saith, Master, master: and kissed him. The scene we have here is  Jesus in the garden of Gethsemane, with his disciples, minus Judas. He had labored and prayed, coming to his disciples 3 times and asking them to pray with him.  They were very tired and could not stay awake even a short while.  The 3rd time saying sleep on. His very close friends would leave him in his hour, had come. The hour that the price of our redemption had come and all had forsaken him. He was alone, and facing the payment for the sins of the world on him. I have a video of The passion of the Christ.  As horrible as it was, it only could portray a portion of the price Jesus paid for our redemption. It was hard to imagine anyone living through something  so cruel.  Jesus loved us that much to go through this unimaginable torment that we might have a chance  at eternal life with him in heaven. I said might because we must be born again, in right standing with our Lord Jesus Christ.. We are living in the last days and  time is running out for all who intend to go to heaven. It is our choice. If we choose to do our own thing , not accepting the Lord Jesus Christ as  savior and redeemer we will go to hell. It is as simple as that.. In Revelation 22:11 He that is unjust, let him be unjust still;and he which is filthy, be filthy still; and he that is righteous, let him be righteous still; and he that is holy, let him be holy still. 12 and behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according to his works shall be. There is so much that I would like to say but I think the statement Jesus said to his betrayer, with a kiss, Whatever thou doest do quickly. Jesus is coming soon and we must do all that we do quickly.. WE must make sure we are ready and those we can reach are to. Do we want our children to go to hell. Of course it is their choice but we must warn them. Jesus loves even the lowest sinners, shouldn't we. Genna
