Words are very important in our lives. We communicate with words,  learn by words.  We make agreements,  Our word should be our bond.  God's Word was given to us to show us God and how we can be like him.  Psalms 119:11 says 'Thy word have I hid in my heart that I might not sin against thee.' King David knew the value of the word of God.  In verse 105 he says, 'Thy word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path. Our words spoken can give life or death. Luke 4:32  and they were astonished at his doctrine; for his word was with power. Matthew 12:37 By thy words thou art justified and by thy words thou art condemned. John 5:39 Search the scriptures, for in them ye think ye have eternal life and they are they which testify of me. How we speak to people has a great bearing on how they accept or reject us. If it is important how we speak to others, how much more important how we receive the engrafted word of God. Gods word is our roadmap to spending eternity with God in heaven.. Jesus said in Matthew 11:28 Come unto me all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.  29 Take my yoke upon you  and learn of me, fir I am meek and lowly at heart and ye shall find rest unto your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy and my burden is light. All we need to know is in the pages of the Holy Bible. How do we know them? 2 Timothy 2:15 Says, Study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that need not be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.. We learn by studying and spending time with God. Praying is not just asking for things.   You've heard the old man's prayer, God bless me, my four and no more.  We should talk to the heavenly Father as if he was right there, because he is, by his Spirit.  Prayer is a relationship between you and Father God. Colossians 3:17 Whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus giving  thanks to God and the Father by him..We need to be diligently seek the truths of God's word. When we don't understand something, even after studying what the scriptures say,, ask God to send  you someone who knows or to show you. Then put it on the shelf  until He reveals it to you.. God is faithful and in his timing will show you.. The more time we spend with the Lord, the more we learn of him.  Now about our speech. The righteous rules are. Ephesians 4:29 Let no corrupt communication come out of your mouth.  Proverbs 15:4 A wholesome tongue is a tree of life. Proverbs 12:18 There is that speaketh  like the piercing of a sword. verse 19 The lip of truth shall be established forever, but a lying tongue is for but a moment.  verse 14 Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight oh Lord, my strength and my redeemer.   My prayer
