Fellowship Hall

As  I was pondering on the lesson for our class, the Lord spoke into my mind, the same  title as my article, only in a different direction.  Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and the power of his might. 11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye  may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. 12  For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against, against  the rulers of the darkness of this world,, against spiritual wickedness in high places. 13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having all, to stand. 14 Stand therefore having your loins girt with truth...16 Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith that ye shall be able to quince the fiery darts of the  wicked..18 Praying always with all Prayer and supplication in the Spirit...In the Spirit, it says. We have our part to do. We only have  our 5% to do and he, Jesus, through the Holy Spirit does the rest.. James  2:17 Even so faith , if it hath not works is dead, being alone. 20  But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead.26 For  as the body is dead without the Spirit is dead,, so faith without works is dead also true faith produces  godly works. First we believe without doubt. James 4:3  Ye ask and ye receive not, because ye ask amiss. that ye may consume it upon your lusts. I would think that amiss is haphazardly. I met this lady that once prayed this brick house.  Well the Lord gave it to her . She wasn't willing to wait  until they could afford it .They went in debt and  she finally said she was so glad to  get rid of it  and the headaches.  We often pray for things that are not good for us..It is bad enough that we don't have the faith , without the doubt,. Or we trust in the hands of man. God is sovereign.  He, God , expect  us to pray for his will, , trust and obey him, and stand fast . Doubt will  try to come in, but we must stand firm and refuse to accept it. The first thought , shame on the devil, if you dwell on that thought, shame on you..Our works are not to solve the problems , but to stand and fight the good fight of faith.  It is a battle won by trusting God in obedience to his word. steadfast, in the faith and in faith.  Resist the devil and he will flee from you and hold the shield of faith.
