Fellowship Hall

In the midst of a wonderful revival, God called his obedient servant, Philip, to go to the desert. Immediately, Philip obeyed and observed an important official serving under Candace, Queen of the Ethiopians. He had come with the Queen to worship at Jerusalem and was on his way home. He was reading aloud out of the book of Isaiah. The Lord again spoke to Philip and told him to go to that chariot. Philip ran and came up beside the chariot. When Philip heard him reading aloud, he asked if he understood what he was reading. The eunuch invited him into the chariot and wanted to know if the Prophet Isaiah was writing of himself or some other person. Philip took this opportunity and began to preach Jesus from that scripture on. They came upon a body of water and the eunuch asked if he could be baptized. Philip told him he could be baptized if he believed in his heart. The eunuch replied " I believe that Jesus the Christ is the Son of God." Philip and the eunuch got out of the chariot and into the water. When the eunuch was brought up out of the water, Philip was caught away by the Spirit of the Lord. The eunuch went on his way rejoicing and Philip found himself at Azotas and began preaching. He preached all the way to Caesarea. How about you? Are you quick to obey the Lord's Voice?
