Romans 12 starts with Paul instructing us in the way we should be toward our Lord and Savior.  First, we are to present ourselves as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to Him.  This shows others, by our example, that we belong to Him.  People see Jesus in us, the hope of glory.  2 Corinthians 5:17 tells us that If any man be in Christ (If Christ Jesus is in us, we will be in Him) he is a new creature, old things are passed away, behold, all things are become new.  Verse 20 says we are ambassadors of Christ.  We are not to be conformed to this world, ( the physical realm), but to be transformed by the renewing of our mind.  We cannot do it by works that we do but through the power of the Holy Spirit.  Change comes when we repent (doing a turnaround).  We  ask and trust Jesus to lead us.  We engage in spiritual warfare by doing what Jesus wants us to do though our flesh does not want to do it.  We are victorious because of what Jesus did at Calvary.  When he ascended to His Father he sent us the Holy Spirit of promise.  We are told to "Be ye kindly affectionate one to another, with brotherly love giving preference to others.  " That leaves no room for selfishness.  Lord willing I will do my best to finish the rest of this next week.
