Paul was sent away for safety after the Jews from Thessalonica came to Berea to stir up trouble for him. Paul came to Athens and grieved for the condition of men's souls and their idolatry. The Athenians were so afraid of offending a god and leaving him out they had erected an idol to the unknown god. Paul began to speak and reason with them. He spoke to them from their point of view and used their customs to teach them about Jesus. How about you? Do you use godly wisdom to show you how to approach a person to proclaim Jesus?
