There'll be no dark shadows in heaven, No storm clouds to darken the way, The sun will be shining forever, For night has been turned into day; No faslehoods nor failures can enter, No worries nor doubts to annoy, I'm longing to be in that city, Where sadness is turned into joy.

The shadows of evening are falling, Life's sun will soon sink in the west, Some morning I'll wake in true gladness, To live with the true and the blest; I dream of that wonderful city, Where loved ones are happy I know, Just after my work here is finished, I'll leave this dark valley below.
