The Lights of the Harbor
Out in the darkness I'm sailing, Over life's troublesome tide, Driven and toss'd by the breakers, Sorrows and sin deride; Still there's a hope that will linger, However stormy the sea, There will be lights at the harbor, Shining to welcome me.
Lights in glory for me, Send rays over the foam, They will pilot my ship, To that heavenly home; Tho' I'm weary of toil, On life's billowy sea, In that harbor, Lights will be shining for me.
Oft I grow heartsick and weary, Often I long to go home, But on the dark sea of sorrow, Yet for awhile I'll roam; Then when the mist has been lifted, Beauties immortal I'll see, There will be lights at the harbor, Shining to welcome me.

Jesus, the Savior, will pilot, Thru the rough voyage of life, He has the pow'r to still waters, He calms the storm and strife; Then when the journey is ended, When from my burdens I'm free, There will be lights at the harbor, Shining to welcome me.
